Professor Aram Amassian named Among Top Cited Researchers

Aram Amassian, a professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering has been added to an exclusive list of the world’s most highly cited researchers found here.

This list is kept by the Web of Science Group which keeps track of the “Worlds most influential researchers of the past decade, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science.” Professor Amassian is one of only four faculty in the entirety of NC state this year with this award.

Professor Amassian, a member of the Carbon Electronics Cluster, focuses his research on ink-based organic and hybrid electronic materialism. Just this year alone, he has been cited in over 3,000 publications, and 15,000 since 2015.

Professor Amassian is joined on this list by 26 Nobel laureates including Emmanuelle Charpentier, Jennifer A. Doudna, and Reinhard Genzel.
