Planning a visit to NC State University? Why not include a tour of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering as a part of your day!

MSE Undergraduate Ambassadors will take you on a personal guided tour through our state-of-the-art facilities in Engineering Building I while giving you an in-depth overview of what it is like to be an undergraduate student in MSE.

Tours are subject to the availability of our MSE Undergraduate Ambassadors and can be scheduled during business hours, Monday – Friday. Tours typically last approximately 45 minutes. Once you submit the form, you will receive a follow-up email confirmation with the details of your scheduled tour including the date, time, and directions. Please allow 1-2 business days for a response.

Location

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering is located in Engineering Building I (EB1) on Centennial Campus. Tours start in the 3rd-floor Atrium of EB1 outside of the MSE Suite.

Parking

Weekday parking is available in pay lots on Centennial Campus. The closest two are the Partners Way Deck or the Poulton Parking Deck

On weekends, you can park for free on Centennial Campus in the Partners Way or Centennial Campus Parking (Oval West) Decks.

Open Houses

Visit the MSE booth at the University Open House each fall or the College of Engineering Open House each spring.

These events are a great opportunity to learn about all that NC State has to offer, explore Centennial Campus, and meet current MSE undergraduates and faculty.
