Dr. Yuntian Zhu has been elected as a Fellow of the Society of ASM International. This honor represents recognition of all Dr. Zhu's distinguished contributions in the field of Materials Science and Engineering. Dr. Zhu was awarded fellowship with the society "for pioneering work on the fundamental understanding of deformation mechanism in nanomaterials, and to enhance both strength and ductibility of these materials, simultaneously", says Stanley Theobald, Managing Director of the Society. Zhu will be presented the award on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 as part of the Convocation of Fellows held during the ASM Awards Dinner in Houston, Texas. This Awards Dinner is one of the highlights of the Materials Science and Technology Conference and Exhibition. Dr. Zhu will be featured on the ASM website and in the September issue of ASM News.
