Graduate Student Association
The Materials Graduate Students’ Council (MGSC) seeks to enhance the overall graduate experience in the MSE department by promoting a sense of community among graduate students and facilitating communication between the department and the graduate student community. The council consists of volunteer students majoring or co-majoring in Materials Science and Engineering pursuing either a master’s or Ph.D.
GSC Objectives
- To be the school council for the Materials Science & Engineering department as provided for in the Student Body Constitution.
- To represent the graduate students of the department of Materials Science & Engineering in any matter which may affect the welfare of the graduate students of this department.
- To disseminate information of interest or of importance to the graduate students participating in the Materials Science & Engineering community
To provide a forum for discussion of problems and other matters of importance to the graduate students and act as a point of contact to the faculty on these matters - To provide services to the graduate student body and departmental community.
