Professor Dickey Represents MSE, NCSU at Exhibit for the U.S. Congress

On May 7th of this week, the 20th National Exhibition for the Coalition for National Science Funding was held in Washington, D.C. Professor Elizabeth Dickey, Director of the Center for Dielectrics and Piezoelectrics, represented both Materials Science & Engineering and NC State University at the event. The coalition consists of over 135 organizations, fueled by the desire for future vitality of science, math, and engineering. The annual exhibition for Congress gives these organizations an opportunity to showcase the research and discoveries that are made possible by funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Through her demonstrations and talks with members of Congress and congressional staffers, Professor Dickey showcased the innovations and economic impact made possible through NC State’s new Center for Dielectrics and Piezoelectrics, an NSF-funded Industry/University Cooperative Research Center with 17 members from industry and federal laboratories.
