Professor Jay Narayan and his associates have achieved a very significant research milestone by publishing over one hundred papers each in the Applied Physics Letters and the Journal of Applied Physics. Fifteen of these papers attained the status of Citation Classics (with citations over 100 to 600) with total citations close to seven thousand in these archival journals. According to American Institute of Physics, these two journals retain top spots as most highly cited journals in Applied Physics and Materials Sciences.
According to journal metrics just released by Thomson Reuters, Applied Physics Letters and Journal of Applied Physics are still the most highly cited of 105 journals tracked in the Applied Physics category.
