POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Postdoctoral Position

We are currently seeking applicants for a postdoctoral position in the area of computational structure prediction and multiscale modeling and simulations of transmembrane proteins involved in the production of cellulose. The research will be carried out in Dr. Yingling's lab at North Carolina State University in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The postdoctoral fellow will join an ongoing effort to predict structure of individual proteins on atomistic level and a collection of proteins and their dynamics on a mesoscale level. The multidisciplinary nature of this research will allow the postdoctoral fellow to utilize a wide range of bioinformatics and molecular modeling techniques, develop new methods and algorithms, and gain expertise in complex behavior of proteins involved in cellulose synthesis. The ideal candidate must have an expertise in molecular modeling techniques and should have a good knowledge in bioinformatics, programming, code and algorithm development. To apply send a cover letter, CV, and a 2-page summary of current research and career goals to yara_yingling@ncsu.edu. The position is available starting January 2nd, 2010.
