A graduate student position in computational materials science is available in my group starting immediately. Possible research projects include:
1) radiation and UV light interactions with polymer nanocomposites and biological tissue
2) self-assembly of nucleic acids into novel materials, coatings, and nanoparticles
Graduate students will be involved in the development of new computational methods and algorithms and applications of these methods to problems in materials sicence and engineering. The applicant should have a strong interest in a general area of computational sciences and satisfy admission requirements for Materials Science and Engineering Department, North Carolina State University. The successful applicant will be offered a yearly stipend, full tuition coverage, and health benefits.
