Background and Research
Rawdanowicz has worked in the advanced design and development sector of the aerospace and defense industries at Honeywell Inc. and E-Systems Inc., and in the commercial and industrial sector at Gilbarco Inc. (Exxon). At NC State he manages the MSE department’s electron-optical and X-ray instrumentation and educates students and researchers on the use of X-ray diffraction and transmission, scanning and spectrometry. He also calls upon his experience as a certified professional engineer to design or improve nano-science laboratories that meet the critical site requirements of atomic level analytical instrumentation operating in the sub-nanometer regime.
