Background and Research
Russell is teaching courses in modern physics and electron microscopy at Appalachian, and continuing his research related to optical electronics, including light emitting diodes (LEDs), solar cells and photo detectors, and semi-conductors. Russell also will work with other professors in the department to excite school-age students about science.
