Professional Experience

After completing her Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from Wuhan Institute of Chemical Technology, China, Xianglin completed her Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering under the direction of Dr. Changmo Sung at University of Massachusetts. Her thesis is related to Nano-Characterization of Gas Cluster Ion Beam Processed Gallium Antimonide Substrate Surface by AFM and XPS.

Her working experience was as a test engineer at Optical Coating Laboratory in California after completing her Master's Degree. During this time she gained experience on several characterization techniques such as AFM, XPS, WYKO, RBS, SEM.

Current Research Project

Xianglin's area of research involves the growth and characterization of highly oriented diamond (HOD) films and B-doped HOD diamond for their eventual application in high frequency, high power and radiation-hard electroncs.
