Professional Experience

Aleks joined the group in April 2003 and currently is a National Research Council Post-Doctoral Associate supported by the Army Research Office. His research emphasis is on the application of thin diamond films grown on Silicon to Si-based electron devices and biomedical systems. Before joining NCSU Aleks studied Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Ulm where he also earned his Ph.D. degree working as a doctoral student in Dr. Erhard Kohn's group in the Department of Electron Devices and Circuits. His Ph.D. work focused on concepts and technologies for the realization of diamond-based field-effect transistors on single crystalline diamond for high-frequency, high-power applications.
